Two sick puppies stuffed in bird cage together found dumped in Lancaster, PA

These two sick 5-week-old puppies were cruely stuffed in a bird cage together and dumped on Green Street in Lancaster.

UPDATE 2/18/14: Antonio Cruz has been found guilty of animal cruelty. Read update here.

The Lancaster County SPCA is asking the public's help to find the person(s) responsible for cruelly placing two very sick puppies inside a small bird cage together, and dumping them on the curb on Green Street in Lancaster City.

They were transported to LCSPCA, but unfortunately, the vet who evaluated them determined that due to the severity of mange and several other untreatable conditions, humanely euthanizing them would be the kindest way to end the tragic suffering they endured in their short lives.

Who could be so heartless as to treat these living beings, whose lives have only just begun, like trash?

That's exactly what the LCSPCA would like to know. Please call the LCSPCA at (717) 917-6979 if you have any information about this crime. A reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible.

Unfortunately, unless someone with information comes forward, this crime will go unpunished, and this person will be allowed to abuse and possibly endanger another animal.

Please share in an effort to reveal the identity of those responsible so that they will be prosecuted for this horrendous act of cruelty.
