The event is slated for Saturday May 4 from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm and will promote pet adoption and wellness, spay/neuter and a special guest appearance by the Petaluma Police Department Canine Unit.

“We are delighted to open our facility and invite pet owners from around the Bay Area to celebrate our sixth year and support the Petaluma Animal Shelter Foundation,” said Grant Garl, owner of Fit ‘N’ Furry.

The Petaluma Animal Shelter Foundation will be on hand with its Mobile Adoption Van with adoptable pets available as well as offering discounted micro-chipping. Forgotten Felines will be promoting spay and neuter information and John Nunes Photography will provide pet portraits with a minimum donation to the Petaluma Animal Shelter Foundation. Always a hit, the Petaluma Police Department canine stars will be on hand to lend a paw to the cause.

Activities planned for the day include a Dog Agility Course and a featured Dog Training Demonstration, Free Paw-dicures (Nail Trims) and facility tours every 30 minutes.

Garl says, “Our goal for the POOCHELLA Pet Fair is to host a fun day of activity for pets and their owners while raising funds to our local animal shelter so more great pets can find forever homes."
