Commitment to community is a theme that runs deep at Petsense store #321 in Albany Georgia. It begins with store manager Gary Watson and is part and parcel of every employee. Space exists in the store for cats seeking their forever homes and Watson encourages local rescues to hold adoption events at the store.
This past Saturday, Petsense held its very first doggie fashion-show. The show, dubbed “Dog Summer Fashion Show” was the brain-child of Petsense employee Kayla Jenkins. Jenkins, 19 is a cosmetology student and combined her love of animals and passion for fashion when creating the concept for the show.
The store was decorated with Hawaiian shirt balloons and other beach themed items.Groomer Samantha Garcia Debuted her specialized dye designs.

Fifteen well-dressed pups competed for several titles. The judging was done by store employees Miranda O’Keefe, Cayla Brooke Sanders and yours truly. A great time was had by all and all money raised by registration fees was donated to Terrell County Humane Society.
The show was such an overwhelming success, a holiday-themed fashion show is already in the works. Thanks to Petsense and all of its employees for their on-going commitment to the Albany area.
