From German Shepard to Superman in the wag of a tail, Hans reveals his true identity at Paws on the Patio.
Cute canines dressed in their spooky best enjoyed a day out with their pet parents while thrilling the crowd with their fun and fabulous costumes. Hosted at Canyon Cafe at The Quarry, doggie diners were served a three course dinner beginning with a Spell-bound salad (dog-friendly greens), followed by a main course of Monster Mash (ground beef, rice, and carrots), and topped off with a deliciously cool dessert of frozen yogurt and peanut butter popsycle. Of course, there was a people-pleaser menu for the bi-peds, too.
Set to begin at 4:00 p.m., pet enthusiasts and Humane Society supporters showed up early to get the party started. Communications Director, Cathy McCoy said "It happens every year. People always show up early so we make sure to be set up and ready."
Fun was had by all.
All proceeds from the costume contest registration fees and the doggie dinner go to support housing and care for the animals at the San Antonio Humane Society.
