If you’re searching for a new best friend the Mega Adoption event, being held at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds, is the place to be this weekend. Puppies, kittens, dogs and cats of all age, size, color, and breed will be available and looking for new loving homes. Dianne Wiles from First Coast No More Homeless Pets (FCNMHP) spoke about the Mega event with featured dogs waiting for a new home on First Coast News. Check out four amazingly smart and well trained dogs you could meet and make a part of your family this weekend.
Super adoption events are powerful and essential for a community seeking a “no kill” status. FCNMHP has partnered with Animal Care and Protective Services, The Jacksonville Humane Society, and Friends of Jacksonville Animals to achieve the “no kill” status. Sadly euthanasia is still occurring when the amount of animals being surrendered is more than the animals being adopted. Have you been thinking about adding a pet to your home or do you have room for an additional furry friend? Choose adoption as your option. The Jacksonville Humane Society is striving to achieve 2,013 adoptions during the summer months of June, July, and August. The Mega adoption event is sure to bump those numbers to new heights.
Sponsored by Best Friends Animal Society and Pet Smart Charities, the adoption event will feature over 1,000 adoptable pets. The adoption fee is $25 dollars for all pets and includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and a city license. If you serve in the military, bring your ID for a FREE adoption. The event takes place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: July 26-28th from 10am - 6pm.
Dogs just like Marcia, Buster, Dean, and Bandit patiently seek a new start to life and hope to show you the tricks and training they have eagerly learned. Provide a loving and permanent home and be the light that shines for a lucky dog or cat.
