Pets who are recovering from diseases or injuries can become "less adoptable" in prospective adopter's eyes. That's why Less Adoptable Pet Week, sponsored by Petfinder.com, seeks to feature some of these wonderful companion animals who need a loving home.

CeCe is an energetic Boxer mix puppy who the rescue retrieved from Animal Control. She is fully recovering from the demodex mange that has hampered adoption efforts.

CeCe is a Boxer mix puppy available for adoption through PALS Rescue in Wichita. She came to the rescue suffering with demodex mange which is not catching for other animals and humans, but until she has fully recovered, it means she, well, looks funny.

But under the effects of the mange, it's easy to see a beautiful puppy who will grow into a wonderful family pet if given the chance. She is under a year old and was tagged from the Wichita Animal Shelter where she found herself at just five months old. CeCe was thin, suffering from the demodex mange and without her owner coming to claim her, was in danger of euthanasia.

Under her foster family's care, CeCe has been gaining weight, growing, learning her puppy manners and making a full recovery. Consider adopting CeCe from PALS and giving this energetic girl a place to finally call home.

You can download an adoption application from the PALS Animal Rescue site. For more information, call 316-990-3647 or email [email protected]
