Hawaii MWR looking for home for two cute abandoned dogs
Leah and Kahlua

I received an e-mail from the military MWR (morale, welfare, recreation) dept. with a photograph of two adorable dogs who need a home. The previous owner said he was going to the mainland and would send for them later. He has not contacted the military to retrieve his dogs. He is retired from the military and no one is able to locate him. If they are unable to find him or home for the dogs soon, they will be handed to the Hawaiian Humane Society.

The lab mix is named Kahlúa and she's around 40 pounds. Her best friend is a Chihuahua terrier mix named Leah and she's around 15 pounds. They get along with other dogs and are very friendly. They especially like treats. They are two very happy dogs and trained. It would be ideal if they could be adopted together as they are sisters in heart. The pet kennels at the MWR located next to the animal quarantine station in Halawa Valley is where these two adorable pets are being boarded. Please pass this information along to anyone you know who might be interested in adopting them
