Foothills Felines, a non-profit member of the Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA), will host a cat show on August 3. This is one of their two yearly events, the first being an annual event in March in Shelby, NC.
The Saturday event will take place at the Simpsonville Senior and Activity Center from 9a.m.-5p.m.at 310 W. Curtis St. There will be ice cream available, as well as standard concessions.
Events are ongoing throughout the day, it is a 6 ring show. They also will have a raffle for exhibitors and spectators to participate in. There will be vendors present with cat toys, cat furniture, and cat art. This particular show does not include agility (not enough room).
There will also be a "household pet" category, where cats without a pedigree will be recognized. Foothills Felines is excited about this category being added back,as it's been for many years now.
Judges for this event will be 5AB/1SP, Wayne Trevathan, Larry Adkison, Douglas Myers, Joann Miksa-Blackwell, Teresa Keiger and Jacqui Bennett.
Foothills Felines mission is to promote the welfare of all cats, to remain dedicated to the betterment of the pedigreed cat, to advance the interests of the hobby breeder and exhibitor, and to host CFA sponsored cat shows and promote interest in and knowledge of cats through educational endeavors.
Spectator cost is $5 per person, $4 for children 6-12 and seniors. Children under 6 get in free. This is a great event for cat lovers. Not only to see all of the beautiful cats being judged, but to mingle with other cat lovers. You can't beat the price for a day of family fun.
