Yellowtail Damsel

Say hello to the Yellowtail Damsel. Just like the Neon Tetra, the Yellowtail is the perfect starter fish, but this time for the saltwater tank. It is a member of the Damsel family, most of which are in no way aggressive and the Yellowtail being one of the least of all. These pretty fish are easy to keep, even if you miss a water change every now and then as they are very hardy. They are great eaters and are very entertaining to watch as they dine on the flakes or frozen food of your choice. They grow to a maximum size of about three inches and love to swim through cracks in your live rock or decorations.

Tank type: Saltwater

Recommended tank size: 29+ gallons (no issues in a 55+ tank as long as they have places to hide)

Level of care: Easy

Max size: 3 inches

Behavioral type: Non-aggressive (but they like to play "tag" sometimes so don't be alarmed)
