Yes, that was the seen on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Gullett Elementary school where Pit Bulls were completing their therapy certification program. As stated on Love-a-bull.org’s website “Love-A-Bull believes in educating and leading through example. To that end, we are starting an all-pittie therapy group, The Pit Crew. Our goal is for volunteers to visit children and adults in need, including those living with mental and physical challenges. Dogs provide therapeutic interaction that can improve mood, build confidence, and repair hearts. Pit bulls, as natural “people-pleasers,” are perfect for this job, and have served as therapy dogs in many facilities around the country.
Love-A-Bull is partnered with Julie Eskoff, Certified Pet Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT – KA). Julie is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and an AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator, and has extensive knowledge working with all kinds of dogs. She is patient, knowledgeable, flexible and pit-friendly. Most important, she is eager to embark on this amazing opportunity with us.”

I’m honored to have filmed these dynamic individuals who have made history within our fabulous city. In my mind, Austin is the greatest city in Texas and this is one of many reasons why. I applaud The Pit Crew and wish them continued success.
