The Cleveland Persian Society (a CFA all breed Cat Club) and Champagne Cat Club are presenting “A Scaredy Cat Show” October 8 &9, 2011 at Lakefront Arena. The venue is located at 5310 Hauserman Rd. in Parma, and is suitable for all ages.
In addition to the cat judging, the sponsors encourage you to come as your favorite monster and to decorate your cat’s cage with creepy crawlies. Most of all, be creative and have fun. The theme colors for the show are black and orange.
The cat competition is for all breeds. Cats can be preregistered on the CFA website. Entry fees vary. Download the PDF file on the website for detailed information about registration.
All cats competing must be present until judging is complete. All participating felines must be inoculated by a licensed veterinarian against feline enteritis, feline rhinotracheitis, calici viruses and rabies and tested and found negative for FeLV before entry. Cats must be free of fungus, fleas and ear mites. The claws of all entries must be clipped prior to benching!
Ribbons will be awarded for first, second and third places. Championship, Premiership and registered Kitten entries will be scored for CFA National and Regional awards. Cage size for entry is 22 x 22 x 22. Novice exhibitors, please bring cage curtains and grooming aids. All cats must be brought to the show hall in some sort of container. Litter will be provided, but you must bring your own litter box, dishes and food. The show hall is heated and is a non-smoking facility.
Check in is 8:30-9:30 am. Saturday show hours are 10-5. Sunday show hours are 9-4. Admission is $6 per adult, $5 for children 6-12.
