Cat adoption fees paid by donor through this weekend at Meriden Humane Society
Taboo is a beautiful girl looking for a forever home.

The Meriden Humane Society, like so many shelters this time of year, is overflowing with adoptable cats and kittens. In fact, at one point in the last weeks the head count was over 60 and they were unable to accept new arrivals.

To promote adoptions in the month of September, the Meriden Humane Society began offering discounted adoption fees on cats and kittens over the age of nine months, with additional incentives on black and black and white cats, which are traditionally the most difficult to place.

Since the time that the current adoption drive began, a supporter has generously offered to pay all adoption fees for the very same group of cats through this Sunday, September 23. The application process to adopt still remains in effect, but taking home a new best friend (or two) has become just a bit easier.

The Meriden Humane Society is located at 311 Murdock Avenue, Meriden, Connecticut. Adoption hours Saturday and Sunday are from noon until 6 p.m. For more information call (203) 238-3650.
