A Florida boy decided to put an optimistic spin on his recent shark attack. According to WWLP.com, 9-year-old Connor Baker was excited by the encounter and sees his injury as a badge of honor.
Baker was out netting fish in the waters of St. Augustine Beach, Fla., with his friends when a shark quickly nipped the boy's leg. The boy's father was nearby, watching the children, when the injury occurred.

"He lifted up his leg and you can see the white streaks down where it had bit pretty deep into his leg," Ryan Baker, Connor's father, told WWLP.com. "He was hilarious. He came out of the water with his hands over his head yelling 'I got bit by a shark,' he was so excited."
Connor played it cool during the entire ordeal. He didn't shed a single tear or make a complaint during his trip from the beach to a nearby hospital. Luckily, the injury was relatively minor, allowing Connor to get stitched up and sent home that day.
