4-H open horseshow to be hosted by Camp Ketcha

On Saturday, May 7th, 2011, Camp Ketcha is hosting an open 4-H pleasure show to benefit the Happy Hoofbeats and the Camp Ketcha Equestrians 4-H clubs. Judging the show is Nancy Olson, who specializes in natural horsemanship and who is working towards her Level 4 certification.

Classes range from showmanship and miniature horse in hand, to leadline walk/trot classes, to walk/trot, to walk/trot/canter. There is also a costume class, games classes, and two jumping classes. There are also Standardbred classes available! Trophies and six ribbons will be awarded in each class. To see a full class list and registration form, please click here.

Rules:

1. Proof of Negative Coggins within 3 years and Rabies Certificate required within 1 year. Attach with registration.

2. Decisions from the judge and show committee will be final.

3. Helmets are mandatory.

4. The management reserves the right to add, delete, or combine entries in the event of a class with fewer than 2 entries.

5. No cross entries for the same horse/rider combination (e.g., cannot enter walk/trot and walk/trot/canter classes).

The entry fee is $8.00 per class, if you register the morning of the show. There is an "early pony discount" being offered to those who mail their registrations in before April 30th. With the "early pony discount" classes are only $5.00 each!
