Stephanie Dahne who delighted the crowds and judges with her rendition that paid homage to renowned chef, Julia Child.
Ms. Egli commented, “Last year’s winner ran off with the top prize with a spirited Julia Child-inspired tailgate.”
Egli explained that last year all competitors received a prize.

More about the happenings at this year's Willowdale Steeplechase event
The Willowdale Steeplechase is an annual Mother's Day event, this year on Sunday, May 13, that is important to the community. The races attract over 10,000 spectators who enjoy watching seven horse races, Jack Russell Terrier and Pony races, an Antique Car Display, free Kids Activity tent, boutique shopping and, of course, the Tailgate Competition. In addition to the races, the Willowdale Steeplechase will host a Black Tie ball and auction on Friday, May 11. Proceeds from The Willowdale Steeplechase benefit the following charities: The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine New Bolton Center, The Stroud Water Research Center and Quest Therapeutic Services, Inc.
